This project encompassed the following:

To build a beneficiation plant able to process up to 900 tons of manganese ore per hour in conjunction with TWP.

What was our brief for this project?

To do a complete electrical, instrumentation, control and communication system design and installation for the new beneficiation plant at BRMO.

What was new in this project?

It was new to deal with the need for flexibility in the ore processing capacity of the Black Rock Mine.

What value did we add for the client?

Black Rock Mine is much more flexible in the processing of the ore coming out of the Nchwaning II & III and Gloria mines and has increased their processing capacity dramatically.

Who was the team leader?

Overall team leader was Andre Roeloffze. Adrian Cloete was appointed as the Iritron Project Manager who took care of the interface between TWP and BRMO.

John Potgieter acted as the E&I Construction Manager on site. IRITRON’s more junior engineering staff were exposed to working alongside an excellent, dedicated and professional team and thereby gained valuable on-site experience.
